Jesus said, “Then the Son of Man shall appear in heaven and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he will send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other” (Mt 24:30-31).
The sequence or details are not all clear, but we do know this much: 1) Every person will be judged (Jn 5:28-29) 2) Every believer will give an account for his actions (Romans 14:10-11) 3) We do not need to fear for we are accepted in his grace (1 Jn 2:28; Eph 1:6-7) 4) We will not be condemned (Jn 5:24).
We can look forward to his return. Today is a cloudy day. Let it remind you that Christ is returning (Acts 1:9-11). Wouldn't it be great if it was today?
