In America we know about the responsibilities and powers of a president of the United States. The general public has a foggier view of what a king or queen does. But even fewer Americans know the role of a prime minister. Except in the movies, these powerful leaders do not mingle with Joe Blow down at the corner grocery store. To understand who they are and what the do, we need someone who intimately knows them to explain it to us.
That is precisely what Jesus did for us concerning our Heavenly Father (John 17:6; 14:7-11).
